Do you mean Faye Webster?
LMAO yes. I guess I get them confused.
She doesn’t do much for me either.

Yeah, Faye Webster has never clicked with me, too woozy. She sure has clicked for many though, I remember being shocked at the venue she headlined in Philly last time through, it's like 3k capacity! Not sure how many people actually attended though.
Neither do much for me. They’re just lazy indie pop/rock. It’s so boring.

She (Faye Webster) sold out an outside venue a couple of summers ago near me and I was shocked that people were lining up to hear her in that capacity. It’s not high energy stuff so outside under the sun in nice weather doesn’t seem like it would fit that vibe.

Not that it tells you how great a living an artist is making, but do any of you all ever look at the monthly listeners thing on Spotify. I mean Faye Webster has 6.6 million, is she really that big?

Fun game for folks. I'm gonna list off a random variety of Boston Calling performers and hide their Spotify Monthly Listeners, see how close you get. This is descending order on the billing

Ed Sheeran -
83m
Megan Thee Stallion -
24.3m
Tyler Childers -
10.7m
Khruangbin -
6.3m
Jessie Murph -
9m
d4vd -
24.3m
Chappell Roan -
1.2m
Cannons -
2.2m
Royel Otis -
1.6m
The Heavy Heavy -
212k
Divine Sweater -
98k
Francis of Delirium -
64k

Not to spoil the listing, but I'd say kinda. Like, Faye Webster is selling out 3500+ person venues across the country and has a real following, I think he is "that" big compared to other similar artists. I like Faye a lot personally - when you need that vibe she fits it perfectly. But there's definitely Spotify artists who have 20m+ monthly listeners not filling a 2000 person venue and Spotify artists with 5m monthly who will sell out 10k tickets. Playlist friendly artists and younger skewing artists tend to inflate by that metric.

I assume @Yer Ol' Uncle D has similar thoughts to me on this that if it’s just the mercs from 1972, it isn’t really the Crowes. I’ll be keen to listen to it, but have a hard time getting as stoked as I should.

I assume the song isn’t actually up anywhere since it is presaves everywhere? It isn’t up at Qobuz.
