That's what stood out to me when I first heard her. Some of her phrasing is also similar to Leonard Cohen and there are little Sufjan moments sprinkled in, too

oooh, new album from metalcore/hardcore band Knocked Loose!!
Knocked loose have been doing pretty good the past couple of years, getting semi-large billing at festivals for a hardcore band and they havent even dropped an album since 2019. hard to say if they'll hit a new peak and get even bigger like Turnstile did in 2021, since KL make louder, heavier music than them, but i imagine critical reception to this will be good.
