I think part of it might be they still owe a bunch of money to Sony and probably have to split the royalties on this with them.
I brought up the price on one of the Toad Facebook fan pages and people are more than happy to pay this price, I'm just glad I already have two copies.

If I wasn't a Toad super fan I would sell the box set in a heart beat as I have other pressings of Dulcinea and Fear, single disc, that sound better than the 2LP versions in the box.

I like this approach. I've personally been going about listening to music this way anyways. Too many artists releasing half the album as singles, I just avoid them now and wait for the full thing. No shortage of stuff I haven't listened to yet, so I can wait, even with releases I'm highly anticipating - did this with MGMT, The Smile, and Vampire Weekend, and I think the experience was better for it.How do people feel about new Billie Eilish?

A lot of their Obi versions are UK only, never mind that half their really sought after releases go to scalpers. Also, if you order something using a forwarding address they will cancel your order and charge you a fee for nothing.
