Pre-Order Thread

I stopped chasing Variants. Which pretty much kills 90% of FOMO. Once I have a record on my turntable I rarely care what color the record is. I don’t stare at the colored wax in awed reverence so why worry about it? I still end up with my fair share of colored vinyl but don’t think about it at all.
I just don't want all of the pretty variants selling out and the only thing left is standard black, clear or coke bottle clear. I don't care what variant I have as long as it's not a boring one.

“Boring” = stress free.

Is the joy experienced from owning a “not boring” variant worth the stress/anxiety that hunting down and preordering exciting variants cause? If the answer is no then you might want to reassess your vinyl sales purchasing priorities.

For me it's not particularly stressful, thanks to @Twentytwo largely. I like the colors. I like signed more. And while I never sell anything I like that they do tend to be worth more in case a rainy day were to hit

Hard to believe this cover art was censored in the US because of the toilet.

For sure, whatever floats your boat. People can buy and collect for a multitude of reasons.

Regarding colored variants being worth more, I think there is a bit of a caveat with that. Limited versions are slightly more collectible initially while the album is still in print but in the long run run we’ll all be dead and whoever is selling my collection after I die will make more off the genuinely rare albums I own regardless of their color than on the albums that pressed multiple times as “limited” colored pressings over a run of 10k where the album still easily obtainable.

Same as with most mondo Releases for me. I see the picture, think that this looks great and then realize that I really do not need ghe score to this movie. They should think about making a Budget Version simple without the vinyl in it. I bet 50% of Monday customer do not Listen to the records anyway
