Oh I get that. That’s why I still enjoy some of his music but I am sure there are plenty of folks who missed the irony and enjoyed it squarely for the racism.But then he'd throw in some of the more based country songs of the time. I'm a fan of "Fuck Anita Bryant". Think he was just the original country edgelord. He said stuff to get a rise out of people and not because he believed them necessarily.

These is actually a tamer one from Wheeler Walker Jr. He actually has a pretty good voice. NSFW.
He also did an album with Pantera members in the aughts Rebel Meets Rebel - WikipediaDavid Allen Coe was a machine pumping out albums in the 70s-90s. Don't hear much about him anymore. Not sure if he's still alive. Would have to be getting close to 100, if I remember right.

I just saw Stars at the Chapel a few weeks ago, it's a great venue.I hope they do a physical release of this. The O Sees have an excellent live show at that venue on vinyl.
