This looks like it will be gone in a minute or two.

Announcing how long something took to sell out before announcing the next variant feels like a very capitalistic way of pumping artificial FOMO

That is Blood Records game though, really popular with the influencers and they generally press these type of artists. Only have one of their records, it was Dermot Kennedy who is one of my favorite artists. Plus most of their releases are usually about $65 shipped to the states which means I am usually out.

They were definitely edgelords, mostly shit-talking their fans, but the transphobic stuff was from a friend of the band who had access to their Twitter acct.

The guitarist gave a lengthy, open interview earlier this year, talking about all of it. He comes across about as mature as someone could for the history of what was said and done, including acknowledging that apologies may not be enough for some people.

I was surprised they wrote another record.
This will be their 2nd record since that whole debacle. I dont think the band is a bunch of bigots. My vague recollection is they quickly distanced themselves from that person that made the remarks.

Interestingly, since that whole ordeal happened and them seemingly quitting then quietly coming back, they've attained cult status. Reminds me of how popular Title Fight have become since they went on hiatus.

For entirely different reasons, but I recall being blown away when I was introduced to Mission of Burma's stuff, a few years after they'd broken up; only hearing about the notorious live shows. It was amazing to actually be able to see them live when they were able to come up with protection for Roger's tinnitus; bonus having Bob Weston on loops.
