Yeah that price is…disturbingThis box needs more vinyl in it. If u already have the album on vinyl musically it comes down to $100 for 2 cds of extras.

Did I miss a story there??Dang, forgot he ghosted us
No. There is no story. He just left.Did I miss a story there??
Writing was on the wall I think. Seemed to hint at his wanting to step back from most, if not all, social media (that’s right folks, this here forum is social media)No. There is no story. He just left.
I feel like Indy got burned out from the political thread. It seems like things got a bit heated there and he had enough. I miss him and hope he decides to come back for an occasional check in at the very least but I can appreciate the decision to jump off. There is no reason to stick around if you’re not enjoying yourself. He is good people.No. There is no story. He just left.

I would love to hear about his walk about.
Wait, there's a N&G political thread? Thank God, I've avoided that one. Collecting vinyl is polarizing enough!I feel like Indy got burned out from the political thread. I’ve ducked in and out of it, fortunately it’s there if I need it and easy to avoid if I don’t. I haven’t seen where anybody lets what happens there escape those threads, which is greatly appreciated.I got burned out from the political thread and the covid thread during the lockdown. Stepped away from the forum for like 6 months. So I get it in a way.
I haven't opened that thread since Election DayI’ve ducked in and out of it, fortunately it’s there if I need it and easy to avoid if I don’t. I haven’t seen where anybody lets what happens there escape those threads, which is greatly appreciated.

The Vinyl Lab, an independent vinyl manufacturing plant in Nashville, is closing
The plant is closing after nearly 4 years of operation. During that time, the vinyl manufacturing industry was marked by growth and competition.wpln.org
They pressed a lot of New West Records stuff and I thought they did a pretty good job to be honest but yeah so many big plants these days and lot of the little ones will get squeezed out. Didn’t realize GZ had a plant in Nashville.Only two vinyl presses. The economics of running any small business can be daunting. You need to bring in a lot of $$$s to actually clear a profit. You need to be prepared to go mths with little or no profit in the downtimes. Sometimes working long days and still taking money out of savings to clear the monthly overhead. It can be done but it isn’t the freedom and independence from working for “the man” many people envision. Hopefully, a lot of these small to midsize vinyl plants will find a profitable sliver of the market and survive. As we know, the biggest plants don’t necessarily produce the best quality.
The last line in the article says it all. Still, when it works it is a beautiful thing.
So in theory, a business like a record club should have no problem getting orders fulfilled timely with all the excess plant capacity, versus the delays of a few years ago. Is that a reasonable assumption? They pressed a lot of New West Records stuff and I thought they did a pretty good job to be honest but yeah so many big plants these days and lot of the little ones will get squeezed out. Yeah, unless they don’t have the money to pay the plant then all bets are off.So in theory, a business like a record club should have no problem getting orders fulfilled timely with all the excess plant capacity, versus the delays of a few years ago. Is that a reasonable assumption?
