Soul Step Records Announces the THIRD PRESS of SSR-072!
The Local Honeys are compromised of Linda Jean Stokley and Montana Hobbs. Stokley from the rolling hills of the Bluegrass state, and Hobbs from the foothills of Appalachian region have developed a sweet sound of bluegrass kissing the mountains. They have dedicated themselves to the preservation of old music and the creation of new tunes.Their songwriting often reflects subject matter that little girls ‘ought not talk about. This element plays a strong impact in the production and creation of this LP, “Little Girls Actin’ Like Men.”
Including both traditional and original songs, “Little Girls Actin’ Like Men” showcases The Local Honey’s ability to tear into hard driving fiddle tunes, sing that high lonesome sounds, and tell a damn good story. This record is for fans of Tyler Childers, Margo Price, and The Highwomen. In rural Appalachia, The Local Honeys present modern ideals rooted in the old time sound. Taking the best of these two worlds, The Local Honeys present this collection of tunes to get your foot tappin’ and your brain a-brewin’.
Soul Step Subscribers will get first access to the LTD/100 and LTD/25 Wax Mage variants on 3/29 at 1PM EST. To sign up to be a SSR Subscriber, please visit www.souslteprecords.com and sign up for free.
