On Jan. 31, dBpm Records will release the late Daniel Johnston's final album, Chicago 2017.

Chicago 2017 includes new arrangements of 14 Johnston's most beloved songs, plus one Beatles cover. Nine of which are performed live at The Vic in Chicago backed by Tweedy (the band comprised of Jeff and Spencer Tweedy, James Elkington, Darin Gray and Liam Kazar), and five pulled from the previous day’s session at Wilco’s Chicago studio, The Loft.

All profits from this release will be donated to the Johnston family’s “Hi How Are You” Foundation for the study and treatment of mental illness and addiction recovery. It is available to preorder on black/white/blue splatter vinyl now.

Preorders include an instant download of the song "Worried Shoes."

Wow both of the singles released from both these are fantastic. I get paid Friday and think I will be grabbing both of these.
 
Just got an Email from Bull Moose regarding the Soccer Mommy Indie Exclusive I just pre-ordered.

The color description given (3 colors) does not mean its a tri color / marble / swirl. It means the record could randomly be any one of the 3 colors when you open it. You won't know which color you are getting.

So this seems to be some mysterious project just announced by Damon Albarn on Twitter. Includes 3 Songs with an amazing line up of artists: Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, FKA twigs, Omou Sangaré, Nick Hakim, Damon himself, Bilal and Syd.

Apparently it won't be released elsewhere (physically or digitally) apart from this Vinyl release. It's rather pricey though, 40$ for 16 minutes of music....

OMG, that single... absolutely gorgeous and haunting! Don't know which one of these versions to choose, the ones with small pressing numbers are already sold out.
