material", Plan D is one of the most unique projects in modern music.

From his LA studio, Toshi created a complex drum-triggering system that is the catalyst for Plan D. He's spent the last several years luring drummers into his Sound of Sirens studio, and just letting them go nuts behind the kit... Meanwhile Toshi has been behind the board, capturing the signal from each drum hit, and sending that signal to a variety of analog synthesizers. What results is some of the craziest sounding prog-like instrumental music you're likely to ever hear.

Plan D is an ongoing project, with four different installments being released throughout 2020. The first part "SW" ships in April, with digital available now, and features the following drummers:

Dale Crover (Melvins, Redd Kross, Nirvana, Hew Time)
Coady Willis (Big Business, Melvins, The Murder City Devils, Hew Time)
Clem Burke (Blondie, Eurythmics)
Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden)
Joe Plummer (Mister Heavenly, Cold War Kids, The Shins, Hew Time)
Paul Christensen (Qui, hepa.Titus)
Troy Zeigler (Serj Tankian, Juliette Lewis, Buckethead)

More amazing drummers will be featured in the successive volumes of Plan D.

O
I've got it on good authority that VMP will be adding a new TP add-on track, where you can get an added roll of toilet paper in limited edition blue/yellow splatter with your next box for only $47.
ooohhh splatter! I hope it's not green apple splatters...

Czarface / MF Doom. Expensive, but it might be your thing, and each record is a unique color out of 500.

Thanks! I had fun scrolling through all these, very cool! I ended up getting #281, not the most elaborate but there is just something about the color and design syncing up with the center label that I love.

Yeah, it's an interesting concept. I wonder how people decide; sounds like your criteria was color and sync w label, but I'm sure there are people who have a favorite number, and go for that one. Some pretty records to be had, too bad they are so expensive.

Didn't Get On Down already do this unique press thing, what release am I thinking of?

Edit: It was Czarface's debut, only these released 200

yeah, I was going to get my fav number but really didn’t like the color at all. I noticed all the low print numbers were gone, and of course the 69 and 420 ones went quick. I do think though, that the price for this is justified when you consider the work involved with not only making the unique wax but also the labor involved with listing them all individually

Some fresh post-rock from Unconditional Arms coming out next month. Loving the color and art combo.

Steven Wilson says CONSUME (with a vocal cameo by Sir Elton John).

New SW album, THE FUTURE BITES, is on the way. No US links just yet, but Norman is my go-to import source for good shipping quality and cost!
