Pre-Order Thread

This is from the announcement email, so If be surprised if it originally said anything about 600.

I haven't seen anything like that from them in the past, so I'd be surprised if they did anything funny with this initial press at least. Probably will get some sort of a repress though.

I know what you mean a bout other numbers appearing or represses happening. I think bumping up the numbers is lame, but I don't worry too much about it. I think they should press as much as they can sell, just better to not fudge numbers like some do.

Thanks! That settles it.

Like I said, this should be it, unless something funny happens. I never saw that announcement, so maybe whoever commented meant that, prior to the announcement of 1000 copies, there was talk of a different number they'd heard about

From what I had seen the pre-order goes up tomorrow but they don't come out until August. No idea if that was just speculation but that's what I had seen

The RTJ email says this exactly

"And while you’re at it, def make sure to check out two really special releases this month from the main man, El-P. First up is the official re-release of El’s debut solo album, Fantastic Damage, which will be available for the very first time on streaming services. First released in 2002 on his iconic Indie label, Definitive Jux, Fan Dam has achieved certified classic status as one of the most important rap albums of its era, and cemented El-P as force to reckon with.

It drops this Friday on Fat Possum Records, who also released El-P’s last solo effort, 2012’s Cancer 4 Cure, and his recently re-released 2007 opus, I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead. Vinyl will be available this August. Dig in!"

If you check the wording, it only states that the album will go up on Fat Possum on Friday, but doesn't specify whether or not a vinyl pre-order is on Friday, only that the vinyl is in August. It very well might be, or they might just be referring to the digital, but it doesn't specify, either way. Meanwhile, the actual press release from his publicist only mentions that it's now streaming and that the vinyl is coming later this year. It doesn't say anything about the pre-order going live. It's possible that they send me something new tomorrow, because that happens, but it usually mentions that a pre-order is going up, because they want people to hype it. The wording is still kind of vague.

Restock of Free Nationals album. It’s still stuck in preorder but the band has been pretty communicative at least about the delays

Homegrown up in the UK;

From Fiona's store.
All I have to say is ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Why even send it to me, if you already know I no longer want it? Sending it to me is just gonna be a waste of time and gas from the mail delivery truck, because I'm gonna send it right back.

To make this all the more confusing, I just received a refund from the Fiona store. Got an email confirming it and it went back to my PayPal already.

I don't know why they are doing it for some but not others.

Muriel GROSSMANN – Juno Records

Not sure if this soon to be modern jazz classic has been posted yet. I think it may have been just released but I missed the preorder.

What in the hell is this? Look bootish to me:)

I'm not sure if it is or not, but apparently this was previously released on CD a couple years back.

FINALLY ON CD - PEARL JAM S SUPERB 1992 MTV APPEARANCE - PLUS BONUS CUTS Tailor made for a band like Pearl Jam, MTV s acoustic showcase ran as a regular feature on the channel between 1989 and 1999. In September 1992, Pearl Jam were invited to appear on the show, and provided a quite stunning performance, replete with stripped down versions of their finest numbers to date, alongside a couple of choice covers. Also featuring some fascinating and humorous between song- rapport from main man Eddie, this previously unreleased recording finally makes it to CD, more than 25 years since the original broadcast. Bonus cuts here feature further acoustic recordings, taken from the band s appearance at Neil Young s 1999 Bridge School Benefit Show.

Where did you find the 4 disc cheaper? And what did you say to them to get that offer?
I literally emailed to cancel and they offered. I sent them the banquet records link (my local record store) which is £37 and they refunded the diff
