Pre-Order Thread

I assumed LG would have treated with a Nasal SpecIIIIIIAAAAAlist.
His nasal cavity is more involved in his signing than his vocal chords.

I would pay $1 million dollars to never have to read another "Doves" post again.
Also, neither Nirvana nor Pumpkins were/are "grunge".

Well that makes it easy, I can dismiss all that dreary shit then...

And now for something completely different.

Galya Bisengalieva - EP One
EP Two available as well (might be added to Bandcamp later):

To me it’s dreary and overwrought.

Aren't you the guy on the mission to collect all the Smith's 7"?
Maybe the pre-dominant factor isn't so much the "dreariness" as much as it is the continent from which it originates?
Maybe?

😏

Again the Smiths were witty and tongue in cheek and Johnny Marr’s music was far from dreary. I agree with you on Morrissey’s later career.

I can’t say for sure that that’s the case, I do like a lot of American music, like a lot a lot, maybe subconsciously? Who knows. I just find that nearly all of it really rubs me up the wrong way. I still begrudge the £5 I spent on Ten in a HMV sale, I could have had 2 pints in 2005 for that money...

Interesting email from Saddle Creek

I had ordered the new Black Belt Eagle Scout album which must have prompted this.

I can see why they’re your favorite label @Bennnnn

My favorite label too! Annnddd I'm also a Ben, just not the @Bennnnn Ben.

I've gotten notes from bands along with the record on occasion when I pre-order an exclusive. Last time that happened was a personalized note from lead singer of The Rural Alberta Advantage.

I pay special attention to all their releases just because I love the label so much. I'm actually very excited about the upcoming Ada Lea release, the two singles out so far are excellent - in totally different ways.

Shiiiiiiit listener to Crumb and now I’m gonna need everything they’ve ever released... not sure why I slept on them.
That's how I felt when I heard the song Locket. I was surfin' music vids on YouTube and it came up. I had to listen to it twice and then I preordered Jinx immediately. Glad I was able to snag the EP the other day too.

I love it when a band catches me like that. They're so Jazzy and layered. Can't wait to spin it.

@Joe Mac I respect you greatly, but don't you say a negative word about Soundgarden. Chris Cornell was a vocal titan!

We don’t have to agree on everything and someone can be and I don’t like their music. Equally I love some music where the singer is bogging. Life is strange, things that should work don’t and things that shouldn’t do...

I also love the fact that we’ve had a big dust up started by a member of staff! Kudos @Captainfog a true master of chaos...
