Pre-Order Thread

The first time I went to a Walmart was in Pendleton, Oregon in high school (pep band for 2A basketball state championships) and I bought the CD of this album - it might be the only thing I've ever purchased from Walmart. I'm now also remembering that we were staying that week at Wild Horse Gaming Resort and we met Bo Diddley because he was performing there. There was also a major earthquake earlier that week, but we didn't feel it because we were on the road driving out to Pendleton on I-84. #memories

This keeps popping up on my Facebook but I never am sure how legit it is.

I know they're cash grabs but I'm actually impressed that they seem to have colors that match the album covers. If they are items that actually needed a new color pressing is a different discussion.
I’m kinda curious where these are all coming from. If they’re the same originating plant as the original album or if they subcontracted with a plant somewhere that’s churning these out from plates they’re licensing. I have no idea at all, but would be curious to see some of the dead wax/run outs to know.

Walmart (and Target) exclusives have to be a huge sign of the vinyl bubble bursting. At least I hope because it's definitely a sign that Vinyl collecting has jumped the shark.
I think I'd disagree. Anyone with deep pockets has been able to get into the exclusive game for a while now, plus Target and Wal-Mart have always been huge sellers of music (CDs specifically), and I feel they've done exclusive stuff with CDs for a while now.

Jumping the shark IMO would be if Jiffy Lube started to carry records. "MOTORHEAD EXCLUSIVE AVAILABLE ONLY HERE VROOM VROOM BETCHES"
