Rank The Albums!

I like how open to interpretation that is, good work gap!
you get to do the detective work in figuring out which Weezer is which!

ok but for real:
  1. Pinkerton
  2. Weezer (The White Album)
  3. Maladroit
  4. Weezer (The Blue Album)
  5. Hurley
  6. Weezer (The Red Album)
  7. Everything Will Be Alright in the End
  8. Pacific Daydream
  9. Make Believe
  10. Weezer (The Green Album)
  11. Weezer (The Black Album)
  12. Raditude
I refuse to dignify The Teal Album by giving it a spot on the list.

I think Green is better than where you have it ranked, but I would have a similar list otherwise.

Close....
1A. Weezer AKA “The Blue Album”*
1B. Pinkerton**

I will have to take your word on everything after that.

* 1A can be swapped with 1B depending on mood
**1B can be swapped with 1A depending on mood

I’m kinda there too whilst remembering enjoying humming hash pipe back at some point in my late teens/early twenties.
I was excited for Green Album when it came out but I think that had more to do with the fact that I didn’t really expect there to be another Weezer album after Pinkerton flopped and River’s flamed out. I enjoyed most of the green album and malidroit for that matter alright but they were steps below their first two LPs IMO.

I mean the fact that I can’t even remember the rest of that album bears testament to that...

I guess I'm on an PowerPop/Pop Island all my own with liking Make Believe.

Perfect Situation and My Best Friend are Power Pop gems, The 80's sound of This Is Such a Pity, and the Sad Bastard Tinge of The Damage in your Heart are, IMO, great.

But then again I rank Mathew Sweet's Girlfriend as one of my Top 5....so I'm a sucker for a sound in that wheelhouse.

I know many people swear by The Blue Album, and I like it, just not as much as some others. It gets a lot of default credit for being the original and it is a very good debut album, but just not my absolute favorite of theirs

Make Believe is a solid album, though I would say much like Green it suffers from being frontloaded and having a shaky second half. But its highs are quite good and I'll admit that "Hold Me" is one of my favorite Weezer songs ever

Make Believe ends with one of my favorite Weezer songs! I actually like the album a lot, once I get past Beverly Hills
