Rank The Albums!

Iron & Wine

I don't consider the "Archive Series" proper albums those are definitely compilations. Just going off of what wiki classifies as an album.
  1. Our Endless Numbered Days
  2. The Creek Drank the Cradle
  3. The Shepherd's Dog
  4. Light Verse
  5. Kiss Each Other Clean
  6. Beast Epic
  7. Years to Burn
  8. Sing Into My Mouth
  9. Love Letter for Fire
  10. Ghost on Ghost
Iron and Wine is one of those artists that I've heard songs by, but I've never listened to a full album or done any kind of deep dive. I think I'll change that, starting today.

Just listened to Ghost on Ghost, wow, it's a wild ride compared to everything else I've listened to so far.

Going to be a little controversial with this ranking...

Journey

1. Trial By Fire
2. Infinity
3. Frontiers
4. Raised On Radio
5. Escape
6. Eclipse
7. Revelation
8. Evolution
9. Departure
10. Look Into The Future
11. Journey
12. Next
13. Arrival
14. Generations
15. Freedom

Been listening to a lot of both these bands in the past few weeks so I felt like ranking these

Hum
  1. Downward is Heavenward
  2. You'd Prefer an Astronaut
  3. Inlet
  4. Electra 2000
  5. Fillet Show
I hemmed and hawed about Downward vs. Astronaut, but I think Downward is a little bit better overall. "Stars" is deservedly and rightfully their best song but the run of "If You Are to Bloom", "Ms. Lazarus", "Afternoon with the Axolotls", and "Green to Me" is 10/10 so it gets an edge.

Los Campesinos!
  1. Hold on Now, Youngster...
  2. All Hell
  3. Romance Is Boring
  4. We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed
  5. Hello Sadness
  6. No Blues
  7. Sick Scenes

I wish I liked this band. I feel like I should and yet none of their albums have yet to grab me.
Their first two are far and away their best. They started to shy away from their “post punk” sound and now are more of a rock band which is fine but it doesn’t do as much for me. The singers voice can also be hit or miss, I love the accent but i can see it not working for everyone.

I don’t dislike anything I’ve heard I just need a song to grab me and pull me in but everything I have heard thus far has not done that. They check off a lot of things I love but They haven’t clicked for me yet.

The Cure
  1. Disintegration
  2. The Head on the Door
  3. Wish
  4. Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me
  5. Seventeen Seconds
  6. Pornography
  7. Faith
  8. Three Imaginary Boys
  9. Bloodflowers
  10. The Cure
  11. 4:13 Dream
  12. Wild Mood Swings
  13. The Top
Been listening to the Cure a lot recently for obvious reasons and I need to update this list.

There is honestly a huge drop off in quality after The Top. 4:13 Dream and The Cure are pretty bad. Robert's singing/screaming on the s/t is certainly a choice. I don't think his voice should do that for nearly an entire album. Both those albums are also missing a lot of intros/outros that they do so well on other albums. I know that it gets dubbed as the worst album but Wild Mood Swings is decent actually. "Mint Car" does some heavy lifting but it's significantly more enjoyable to listen to than the two previously mentioned albums.
