Record Store Day 2022

Yeah, I'm sort of leaning the same way. Do I really need two more live Bill Evans Trio releases? There are just so many now.
I’m sure there are some gems, but so many I’ve taken a chance on haven’t really been worth it or can still be had for way under MSRP now. I think I’ll wind up passing the day of and if anything gets rave reviews maybe seek it out. But I don’t find myself gravitating too deep on those RSD releases anymore. I just feel like if it’s that remarkable of a release, it would be released on its own.

yup! that's exactly where I saw it too.

I always am on the lookout for Jonathan Richman records when I'm out shopping in the wild. They're almost never repressed too. I had to double check my collection, since I could have sworn I had "Rock 'N' Roll With The Modern Lovers"

I believe "Havin a Party With" was last year's RSD release. It's going for a decent price, I might finally pick it up!

Nice collection. I just have the two craft reissues and the 80s rhino Modern Lovers.

Can definitely recommend the Having a Party. I don't think I had any trouble ordering it last year so hopefully same with this one.

I gotta say, I’m pretty burnt out by the RSD live jazz releases. There’s usually 1-2 good ones a year but have been more disappointed by them as of late. I don’t know that I need any more Bill Evans live releases. I’m probably in for the Art Pepper and maybe the Blakey but that’s probably it.
I really like Chet's live performances later on in his career, and don't think I own any on vinyl so that one at least is intriguing to me.

overall agree on getting burned out on RSD Live jazz releases though, especially Bill Evans.

I think it’s a solid batch of titles. There’s a lot more I’m interested in compared to last year where I think I only got 3 things.

Yes:
Art Pepper
Brand New Heavies
Jazz Dispensary
America (my wife will love this)
Modern Lovers ‘88
Prince
Opeth

Maybe:
The Dillinger Escape Plan
Esther Marrow
Ray Charles
Ramones box set (BIG maybe)

First up is a Record Store Day inception album. Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio - "Live In Loveland". Recorded in 2018 outside of our very own Plaid Room Records (in Loveland, Ohio) on RSD '18, while they celebrated the release of "Live At KEXP" - originally an RSD '18 release

Secondly, we are celebrating our 100th 45 release with this hand-written, white label, promo 7" of "Power To The People" b/w "Never Heard 'em Say" by Durand Jones & The Indications
Again, these are RSD-Exclusive and won't be available on our site; only at indie shops across the country. Go support your favorites
