Record Store Day 2024

My fave local doesn’t participate any more. He hated how it became what we all bitch about with cash grabs and a pretty big headache for him. Anyhow, saves me the trouble of going out and most of the time, I can get the couple of things I want at Plaid Room when they go live. Cuts down on the extraneous spending.

I’m leaning toward the Elephant 6 because of the Olivia Tremor Control tracks, but I’m also a huge STP. Very tough this year.

For the Van Halen is is like the other live album where it was dubbed over in the studio? Hagar Era is a favorite of mine. I do generally enjoy the live RSD releases, one of my favorites was the Tears For Fears from a few years ago; I listen to that one a lot.
 
Normally I wouldn’t ask but unfortunately I can’t make it out to any stores tomorrow is there anyone that if they see it and aren’t getting the Sun Ra, Cecil Taylor, Jazz Dispensary could pick me up a copy. I can PayPal/venmo right away. Especially the Sun Ra as I’m from Baltimore and this was a Baltimore recording.

Completely your call but personally I'm holding off on Cecil for now. All of his previous RSD titles are still easily available at a much more reasonable price
