Restocks/Represses

riskier buy IMO. that seems to be the back to black pressing. i think only one or two tracks on it are the albini mix. the 2013 keeps coming back into stock at various places so I'd probably recommend that over the back to black.
I just checked my notes, got the 2013 from Mercari on 11/21/19 for only $20!

I bought this listing in November and it was the "Back to Black" pressing. Wound up sending it back and found a used Albini mix at my local for $35.
What's the safest bet for the "original" mix on vinyl, good press at a good price? I don't need fancy 45rpm or mobile fidelities.

I can't keep track of what uses the "original" mix to be honest. Some people say the pressing that's NOT back to black but has the 320 in the deadwax is great but I believe it uses the Albini mix on some songs. The other pressings people always rate highly are the 2013 Albini mix, the ORG (way out of price range for me) or the 3LP that is also way out of price range.

The 2015 Back to Black is probably your only affordable option if you don't want the 45 RPM Albini mix. Its a very standard press, probably just a digital source. The 2010 ORG (BG cut, analog tapes) has gotten really expensive, hopefully it makes a comeback at some point but doesn't seem promising. I've seen the Back to Black pop back up in a lot of places recently.

Bullmoose cancelled my Lost in Translation order after months of waiting.....any where have any left?
Crazy as it sounds, check your local Barnes and Noble bookstores. You can go online and check availability at stores within a pre-defined miles radius from your zip code. If available, I believe you can purchase to lock in the sale, then go pick it up.

update. I have a lady over there looking for the last copy that they have. They usually don't ship store to store but I told her my misfortune with bullmoose, she said she would ask her manager if they could send it to my local here in Tampa....we shall see!!!!

i'll keep my eye out too. there were spots that had it earlier this week but seems to be mostly sold out. you can sign up for notifications at comeback vinyl or text alerts from plaidroom. both notification systems have been really solid for me in the past.

Everything Nirvana put out on vinyl will be repressed forever you should just wait until they repress the 3 LP 45rpm version. It’s the version I own and it sounds amazing plus it has some killer bonus cuts on the thirds disc. You get “Sappy”, “I Hate Myself And Want To Die” along with the Albini cuts of “Heartshaped Box” and “All Apologies”. I think it retailed for around $40 when it was in print.

thanks! I got it to work! Called my local they were like NO WE DONT DO THAT....called Sarasota back and they stated that was obnoxious of them to say, and they went ahead and checked me out and are mailing it to me direct from Sarasota!

I've read mixed things on whether or not the tapes still exist for future represses/reissues? AKA whatever version comes out next might be digital just like Nirvana Nevermind reissue was.

I was gonna try to wait on the 3LP but got impatient because it hasn't been repressed in a long time as far as I could see.

I messaged my one local shop to ask if they had it.
"We did but we sold out. Looks like they are gone for good."

Yeah, It is the 20th anniversary edition so it they do something different for the 30th anniversary then I could see it staying out of print. This and the Incesticide anniversary feel like they have been repressed a few times over the past 10 years. I didn’t pick up my copy until 2020.

thanks! i'll keep my eye out then! I think I have some notifications set on the 20th anniversary one at various places. same with the ORG but less hope on that one getting a reissue.
