I found this to be the case with the Studio Ghibli releases—the first couple rounds that were released in Japan and here in the US were the same price, but by the time they got around to releasing Spirited Away, they had raised the price over here to $70/ album. I was able to order several discs from Japan for less and I made a big enough order to get free shipping which is how I got my prized soundtrack. I am not sure if any Japanese site does free shipping to the US anymore.

...First off - this is the release week for our very own Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio! We're so psyched for this record, it's been a long time coming with all of the pressing plant delays. If you pre-ordered from us (or Colemine), 95% of these will be out the door by Saturday, with the remainder finishing up on Monday most likely. Now, all that being said, this release sold so well that Colemine's site is sold out, Plaid Room has next to no inventory left and it likely won't last the weekend.
