I got two Mondo pressings and they are absolute shit
It sucks because they got some tempting titles (mostly Pixar) but it's just not worth the hassle for me.

Yup, my Mondo pressing of the Magnolia soundtrack is very disappointing. That title would be perfect for a MOFI or AP pressing.I got two Mondo pressings and they are absolute shit

Mondo has been hit or miss for me. I believe they primarily use GZ, so that might explain it.I got two Mondo pressings and they are absolute shit
Blade Runner 2049 - pressing is absolutely atrocious, but the artwork is so beautiful. And I love that film.
The Fountain - first pressing was noisy, the recent Gotta Groove repress is better but far from stellar. Not worth the price of these are going for on the secondary market.
Daft Punk - Tron, overall quite good
Nightmare before Christmas - over quite good as well. No issues on my copy even with all the pressing gimmicks (pinwheel, splatter, blah blah)
Big Lebowski - have the black vinyl and had no issues
Fight Club - pink vinyl, had some surface noise but nothing to complain about

"damaged" copies of the KG saxophone colossus are up at Plaidroom. All the damaged copies I have received of albums from Plaidroom have been very minimally damaged and in some cases could barely see what the damage was!

I have the mono OJC with the Hoffman/KG deadwax scratched out and it sounds amazing.

don't know if its different or better. i also have the VMP OJC that used the DCC hoffman/KG cut and don't feel the need to get another copy. just a good option for those who can't find the OJC/DCC! People have said this version sounds very good too

I’m sort of tempted, but $30 for a joke band album, as great as the concept and execution likely are, is more than I’d drop. Maybe I’ll get some Bandcamp downloads or a CD.
