Most of those companies are 3rd party drop-shippers. They don't have inventory, they submit your order to their distributor as soon as you order (via software), which is why it can't be cancelled.
Drop-shipping is a huge part of our industry right now, unfortunately. I'm not a fan, personally, but some of their prices are definitely unbeatable, and I really can't argue with that. I wish I could beat those prices, but drop-shipping versus investing in inventory are two totally different businesses. Amazon is basically the same deal, they're just drop-shipping 80%+ of their stock. So much of their stock never hits their warehouses. But ya know, when the price is right, it's hard to argue with. Brick and mortars are becoming a thing of the past, even though we're trying our asses off to stay relevant
