Restocks/Represses

Before i go trawling ebay or 'cogs, does Anyone know if there are any places to find the impex monk "straight no chaser" or Kenny's Matador ?
I don’t think Matador is OOP, just out of stock. Impex usually pressed these limited releases in batches. AS has it up for preorder and Elusive Disc has it on backorder so I wouldn’t pay a crazy price on discogs/eBay

Do you know when they charge pre/backorder? I know AS does it when they ship

i'm sure this will start to pop up elsewhere too
Let's goooo. Everyone who doesn't own this should pick this up if it pops up elsewhere. I'm hoping for re-presses of Tonight's the Night and Massey Hall.

Nice! It got repressed not too long ago when Harvest got repressed, but didn't really see it many places. Hopefully it was a larger repress.

I think @BjorgenFjorgen may be talking about the studio album. Both are great releases but the studio album really needs to be repressed. It's one of Neil's finest and even originals are hard to come by.

I'm certain I am in the minority, but I don't get the accolades for Tonight's the Night. It's not bad by any stretch, but it's not in my top 10 NY albums, and is, IMO, the weakest of the Ditch Trilogy. That being said, I would love to have it on vinyl, because it's Neil.

It's definitely the darkest. The vocals are not his best ("Mellow My Mind" in particular), but something about the raw feeling of the album always resonated with me. Every time I listen to it I can feel the pain he was going through in that period.

Maybe the rawness is my issue with it, like a fresh wound that's just been exposed.

Crazy small world trivia- Bruce Barry the subject of the album, was briefly Kim Gordon's landlord

.. even originals are hard to come by.

Neil actually designed the original pressings not to last, at least the jacket. That's one reason it's so tough to find one in great shape. They're made out of a fragile, soft blotter paper. Every time you used the record - open the gatefold, in and out of the shelf, etc. - the jacket eroded a little bit more. The cover's inevitable decay is a metaphor for Tonight's The Night's theme of the wreckage left behind by drug use and the fragility of life.
