Rock, Alt-Rock, Indie Rock, Psych Rock, Shoegaze, Punk, Noise Rock, Emocore, etc.

Some recent rock/ indierock albums I've enjoyed:

The Muckers "Endeavor"
Kiwi Jr "Cooler returns"
shame "Drunk tank pink"
Psychedelic Porn Crumpets "Shyga! The sunlight mound"
Melvins "Working with God"
Black Pistol Fire "Look alive"
Xixa "Genesis"
TV Priest "Uppers"
LICE "Wasteland : what ails our people is clear"

Don't know how or why I've slept on Ringo Deathstarr but everything they've done is excellent. A weird mix of Shoegaze, Rock, Dreampop that works so well. I think if I had to guess, them having a kind of jokey name is probably why I passed them by previously.

IF you are in the NYC, NJ, Philly area, my "local" is selling a ton of Metal, Punk, Emo memorabillia:

Great round-up of all of the amazing post punk coming out of the UK and Ireland over the past few years. Strong chance that the SQUID album that was released yesterday will end up as my AOTY. It's spectacular.

Also, one more important thing to note: fuck maggie and fuck brexit.

Living in the Eastwood constituency is a frustrating experience. Good on Glasgow South for being full on anti-fash again!

Somehow I missed this stealthy reissue back in October, and I'm pretty sure I can't be the only one who misses this damn band desperately.

Limited to 500. Around 100 already logged on Discogs, so who knows how many more have already been claimed by non-cogs users.

I could have sworn I ordered (and failed to receive) the band's self-released pressing back in 2012, shortly before they fizzled out of existence, but I found literally no evidence of actually having done so. Drummer Brett Stowers posted about this pressing back in October, but it somehow missed my feed despite seeing his Star Wars memes constantly. (Damn you, algorithm.)

Experience Vinyl seems to be the best bet to nab one. Mine just got delivered and is now spinning!

Will Sergeant's favourite albums:

I think I have all of them except two.

A few things I've had on repeat recently....

Fiddlehead - Between the Richness (emo/punk):

KennyHoopla - Survivor's Guilt (pure fucking cheese emo - Travis Barker on drums):

Mannequin Pussy - Perfect EP (punk):

Iceage - Seek Shelter (post-punk/indie):
