I saw someone mention a new Fantastic Planet reissue? Is it a new remaster or anything or just like a new color variant?
edit: yeah, just a yellow variant. I'd suggest holding off and getting one of the represses from the last 5-10 years for cheaper if you can.

Given how poorly the Bloodflowers CD is mixed (peak loudness wars), is it possible that the picture disc may sound better?

I hear ya, I need some paper/cardboard around my vinyl! Picture discs are just not satisfying. Hopefully this is just the RSD batch and there’ll be a wider release later? One can dream.

To be fair, I bought the Cure Mixed Up and Torn Down pic discs, and they sound fantastic.Maybe, lol. I just can’t bring myself to purposely buy a picture disc. Call it bias or whatever, I just can’t.

I’m glad. They are definitely pretty and I know the technology has improved with regards to sound quality and picture discs. I bought the standard black ones that came out later and I’m happy, too.

I agree, picture discs are definitely a crap shoot. The reissue of Flood by TMBG sounds terrible. And I’m not sure I want to jump in on a Bloodflowers pic disc, especially if a black vinyl is coming.
