does anyone have any clue as to why the stooges seven inch is costing around 20 bucks??? seems way too high for just a single
Because that's the new trend for 'limited, collectible' singles.does anyone have any clue as to why the stooges seven inch is costing around 20 bucks??? seems way too high for just a single

Because there is a strong Iggy/Stooges collecting base, it's limited color vinyl, and because they can. His Live at the Hippodrome release last year wasn't the best but it got snapped up at the time.I see it here, $21 sure does seem high.

Yeah, that one was attached to the Fun House box set (which is awesome). There's a glut of Iggy and the Stooges post reunion live sets that have been released that are hit or miss. The Stooges' output was so small during their original run that I just don't think there is a lot more juice to squeeze there other than repackaging stuff like VMP's release of the Cale mixes for the Stooges album, which has appeared previously on CD and Rhino's vinyl release of the Fun House box. Most of Iggy's solo catalog is available, minus a chunk of LPs around the Skull Ring era.I will tell you that one of my biggest record store day letdowns was the live stooges album, Unango’s. The vinyl is pretty but it sounds like shit. Even at $20 I felt ripped off.

Has anyone been able to find one of these French shops that takes pre-orders and ships outside Europe?
There's some great stuff in there...that Jacqueline Taïeb and the Ennio Morricone re-issues are fire in particular.
Nope, which is a shame because their system has options for the international addresses. I may write to them and see if it is possible

Check Ground Zero, Walrus or Balades Sonores, all in Paris. Firsts two have RSD releases on their web shops, third will need you to send them an email but are probably the best option. Let me know if you need some help.
Technically isn't it not even released yet? Just some shops put it up early?Dammit, I completely missed the Jason Isbell "Reunion" release on orange dreamsicle. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. If anyone finds one available out in the wild (at least somewhere close to retail), my please me know!
P.S. $90 via Discogs is NOT OK.
