I got one. Lucked out, managed to grab one of the autographed Lover CDs last year too. Having a job that requires me to be on my phone nonstop comes in handy.
Sadly I don't think there's anyway to avoid scalpers on something like this. Guaranteed 5x+ resale value easily from a world class artist for minimal effort. The only way to win that game is to put up a ton of manual barriers (like make it an effort entry contest) or price it in a way that removes the incentive and taking the profit for yourself. It's a no-win game in the end I think which stinks. I hope a re-stock finds you.
I would love to see her do a second run of these near November. Since she can't play live maybe sign so many that it makes it worthless. I know Scalpers are unavoidable, but I am now turning my anger toward them to try and profit for the international fans who didn't get the chance. I lost out oh well I need to accept that. At this point I am following whoever posts a picture and smiling because at LEAST a scalper didn't get it.
I'm a big big Taylor fan so when an early $100 listing came up on discogs I lowball offered $50 and it was actually accepted. Didnt realize I'd have the chance to grab one on her site but happy I did since I don't trust USPS much these days.
Once I have both (Not sure when Taylor will send hers out). I would be open to selling you the extra one for the same cost I got it on discogs ($54.50 including tax + shipping).
I understand it's not ideal and still double what you would have paid on her site, but it's still significantly lower than the scalpers.
I will see what I can do, but I may take you up on it! I am broke at the moment as what I have saved over for rsd is it for most of the rest of the year. I would be up for that because it's on here and not an ebay scalper!
weeeee
(still strange to have a T-Swizzle CD with a parental advisory sticker lol)

Yeah, the booklet that came with it is nice too. I don't know if each edition has it's own booklet or if it's the same one for all but having the lyrics and some extra photographs in there is a nice touch. Gives me high hopes for the vinyl packagingI love that they put the sticker on the wrapper and not the booklet. Seems like an obvious move but you never know with these big labels.
I hear ya, I hate these flippers and I hesitated to even offer $50 for it initially but considering what I see them going for now, it was a bargain relatively.
Obviously no rush for you to decide, I'll shoot you a DM after they both come in and you can let me know.
Of course the cover I got is the only one not on Discogs yet maybe that means it's the rarest one lol
Yeah it does feel kinda out of place. And I love Betty but that one also feels weirdly out of place, mostly cause I think it comes too late in the album.Oh lucky you, I still can't enjoy "Mirrorball". I don't think it fits the mood of the album (neither does "Betty", but I'm ok with that song). Plus, it comes before that perfect pair of "Seven" and "August". Those two songs together are perfect.
I took a re listen to Speak Now recently and MY GOD it still holds up and I love it even more!
Yeah, that's actually my favorite of her releases. Some corny lyrics here or there but overall a great album with great songwriting!
