Schiit Sol

Didn't know you had 2 more loaded arm wands! Amazing. You're all in.
Honestly, it's mostly for show. But it does look cool!

The SAE is awaiting a retip, and the Nagaoka barely gets used because apparently the unshielded tonearm wire on the Sol, when combined with a low-impedance moving magnet cartridge, picks up surrounding RFI like a mother. Still trying to figure out the best solution to that.

Currently spinning with the Nagaoka, and it sounds all right aside from the RFI. I ordered some Faraday tape and I'm going to experiment with wrapping the exposed wire.

...might be a good idea to use my beta tonearm as a test bed.

If you want to run MM’s you might inquire at VAS about rewiring with a sheilded tonearm cable that can be grounded on one end. Just a thought.

I have a spare beta tonearm in storage that has limited use outside of testing this Faraday Tape. If it doesn’t make a difference I will definitely look into rewiring one of the proper tonearms for MM use.

It’s a total nonissue with my LOMI and HOMC carts, so…

I did some cable rearranging this morning between meetings and hooked my mono blocks back up. Took about a half hour for them to warm and open up but my speakers do respond really well to that little something extra they pump out.
