Spin The Black Circle - The Pearl Jam Thread

Any ten club members that would be willing/ able to pick up a copy for me of the clear no code vinyl that just got posted?

did you get one? it's still in the shop. i'd help out, but i'd already ordered one. if they open it up to more than one-per-member (or just general public) i'd be happy to snag one.

I did not! I would guess that most folks that would be open to getting one, got one for themselves and are likewise unable to get another. Oh well, thems the breaks

Tour starts in a week! Assuming they won't be quite the marathon sets of the last tour given they have an opener. Hoping to get some Binaural tracks, and finally get to see Stone sing - haven't caught a Mankind yet.
Our shows aren’t until Sept. 😢 We usually like to attend the kickoff, but it just wasn’t possible this time. To all going, enjoy! Very curious to see how long they play. We really did get spoiled by those “evenings with…”

Hope you get Mankind! Have seen it twice as well as Don’t Gimme No Lip. Always a treat when Stone sings 😀

Agreed! I did see him sing and play drums once with Brad when they did a short tour.

Really enjoyed last nights show, thought they sounded tight for a tour opener. Heavy on Gigaton, but the songs translated well live though. High point was Long Road, dedicated to someone in the audience who had lost their brother, and also to Eddie's brother who had passed away (and did lighting the last time PJ played in San Diego). Lots of hometown stories from Eddie, he was pretty talkative. Last three songs was the (out of order) mamason trilogy.

this just might be one of my favorite shows i’ve been to, it was just a lot of fun. ohana was similar a few months ago. the band seemed energized, loose and in the moment, something it feels like i haven’t seen from them in a long while. the gigaton songs are really, really strong live, and if finally getting to play them is what is helping fuel what they are putting out on stage right now then i’m all for it.

the long road dedication prior to ed talking about his own brother was for my friend mike, and i am glad i was able to be there next to him for that meaningful moment.

Split variant of Earthling up on the Pearl Jam store. I'm gonna skip it, kind of a weird color when compared to the cover. And the shipping fees for 10c are just absurdly high...

Clarification from the 10c board on colors, will definitely wait for the indie retail version then.

Retail will have black.
Indie retail has a blue/white swirl version.
10c and Intl D2C will have the blue/yellow.

Hit LA #2 show on Saturday.

If the San Diego tour opener was cathartic, this was celebratory. Just a fantastic set list both in terms of songs and structure. Eddie played Wildflowers preshow, and passed out a paper to the front row asking for requests for the set later.

Main set kicked off strong with Release, GTF, DTE, Low Light, Quick Escape (which is really strong live). Matt Cameron took the mic (first time I've seen him do that) for a Taylor Hawkins / Foo Fighters cover (Cold Day in the Sun). They also played a few of the requests alluded to above, Unthought Known and Glorified G.

Those of you hitting shows down the line, enjoy!

I’m tempted in this but the analog members only thing is def making me shy away…anyone not grabbing this by chance it or happened to sign up for digital recently and still was able to buy it?

I know @Oldwhitelincoln11 is a digital and was able to buy it but maybe he was grandfathered in?

i'm not seeing where it differentiates digital/analog accessibility? was it like that for previous releases? because i don't ever recall that being the case, but i'm an analog subscriber so maybe i've just never noticed. right now the shop page just says "members only. limit 1 per member."
