While they were a better option than Rian Johnson, this isn’t news to be upset about. After the clusterfuck that has been the sequel trilogy, Disney Star Wars needs to stop and reassess who they are hiring to produce content.

D&D have shown themselves to be good-to-excellent stewards of existing IP, characters, and storylines, but Johnson is the one who I'm very excited to see run free unfettered by the weight of a corporate-decreed storyline.

In other good news Bob Iger has confirmed that there are currently no SW movies in the works after the release of Rise of Skywalker. SW movies are on hiatus.
