Television

Those are great examples, I made a Spotify playlist of the soundtrack songs for all 3 seasons. Don't want to post a link to avoid musical spoilers, but if you want it later on let me know.
That would be awesome. Thanks! But yeah, I'll wait a week or so, heh.

I would love in on this playlist when the time is appropriate for sharing.

The Leftovers was a great show! And kudos to them for knowing when to end the show.

Watched the first episode of Chernobyl last night and its fantastic, I can see why its been getting some top reviews. I have a bit of knowledge on the subject as when I was a child there was a charity scheme whereby children in the outer regions affected by the tragedy would spend time in the UK (this was 10 years after the incident). We had a boy called Pascha from Belarus stay with us every summer for a few years and from that I read up about it.

Still, its incredibly interesting and the level of detail it goes into is incredible. The political side of it is fascinating as well.

I was a huge fan of Big Little Lies. Like, that first season is nearly perfect TV with a great ending. So, I was not completely all-in on the idea of a season two. But now that it’s started, I’m actually happy it’s back. There’s so much good stuff within this show. The acting, of course, but also the cinematography, editing, music...it’s all just so well put together with a look and feel I just love. Season two I believe had lost the director of all of season one, whose style really made the show stand out. Yet in the first new episode, it feels basically the same, like they’re imitating his style. And it works. The progression feels natural, the characters are still specific and complex. And the addition of Meryl Streep...I must admit, I wasn’t so excited like the rest of the internet was when this was initially announced. But uh yeah I’m fully on board now cause she’s incredible in it.

Wife and I were in the same boat. She read the book and wasn't sure how they could get another season out of it. But wow, Meryl Streep just commands every scene she's in. She's a beast and will make a great villain as she turns each of the 5 onto one another.

Anyone watching Good Omens? We watched the first 2 last night and I'm loving it so far.
Speaking of SyFy shows, they recently cancelled two shows that werent great, but I enjoyed very much in Happy and Deadly Class
So @Woob_woob you are completely on my wavelength right now. I need to start Good Omens because this is a show that looks like it's made for me and my quirkiness. And WHAT??!! No more Deadly Class? And it ended on a cliff hanger. Boo.

Apparently both cancelled SyFy shows are looking for a new home, so hopefully they pop up again somewhere.

Good Omens is filled with quirkiness and I think youd really enjoy it.

After you said that Pushing Daisies was one of your favorite shows, I knew that I needed to take recommendations from you.
Deadly Class always seemed like it was too different of a show to be on cable, even Syfy. I always thought it had more of a Netflix original show feel.

I watched 1.5 episodes of Good Omens last night. I have not read the book(s). I don't even know if it is one or a series of books.

It was absolutely delightful. Fantastic story telling. Excellent cast. Jon Hamm as Gabriel is cracking me up. It shot up to near the top of the list of best shows of the year. I can not wait to binge the rest of it in one sitting.

It's a single book by both Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

We've been watching an episode a night, but will probably watch the final two tonight. It's really a wonderful show.

Has anyone watched Euphoria? I need someone to tell me if I should or should not invest time into it.
