That’s my thinking. After a two year gap they shoulda been blowing the promotion budget out of the water. Maybe the cultural buzz will build as the season progresses. Here’s hoping because they start slashing budgets on GOT IPs they might as well just stop making new shows.Ratings wise, it is down from last season. GOT went the other way. It always went up. Maybe you're correct and the marketing has been lacking. It's been 2 years since it last aired. That could've had an effect too.
as a mystery and procedural I found it lacking.
I probably should have rewatched Season 1 since I'm still really confused about who some of these people are and what caused them to have their motivations.I rewatched season one of House Of The Dragon right before season the season two premiere and nearly all the entire first season was a prologue with all the time jumps and changing actors but it still had it’s moments of greatest and awe. Season two should be the payoff and the first episode was a very solid premier. I am looking forward to the rest of the season and expect greatness, I just hope Zaslav being a cheap bastard doesn’t fuck up the remaining seasons.
It doesn’t help that some of the cast of characters had 2 to 4 different actors playing major roles sometimes over the span of just 3 episodes.I probably should have rewatched Season 1 since I'm still really confused about who some of these people are and what caused them to have their motivations.
I just need some nametags... or maybe a family tree with the faces of the actors. It doesn’t help that some of the cast of characters had 2 to 4 different actors playing major roles sometimes over the span of just 3 episodes.
LOL! I have this pulled up on my laptop while watching…I just need some nametags... or maybe a family tree with the faces of the actors.
The music direction in the show is absolutely top notch. Let Down in episode 8? so good.I am now in the midst of a rewatch of The Bear before season 3 premiers next week and man, that intro to season 1 and episode 7, “Review” with WXRT’s late great Lin Brehmer introducing Sufjan Stevens “Chicago” over a montage of some of the Windy City’s most famous (and infamous) moments cut between some of the cities best restaurants in all their shabby glory, still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.
IYKYK.
Right! I have had The Bear Season 1&2 playlists in my Spotify rotation as a result. Perfect compliment to the show. The music direction in the show is absolutely top notch. Let Down in episode 8? so good.
Using New Noise is the perfect song for ratcheting up the tensionRight! I have had The Bear Season 1&2 playlists in my Spotify rotation as a result. Perfect compliment to the show.
Pretty deep cut of a song here, but they used this in the 4th episode of season 2 and I love it:The music direction in the show is absolutely top notch. Let Down in episode 8? so good.
I now want to read a Giuseppe Stromboli bookAlready was pretty meh on it because of JK Terfing, but the show runners they announced for the Harry Potter TV adaptation leave a lot to be desired. Very middle of the road HBO CVs. I would be more excited if it was based on the official retcon version called Giuseppe Stromboli, who went to live with James' goomar and was forced to live in a bag of breadcrumbs.
