The 33 1/3 thread.... (the book series)

When you're anyone but me and look at the Math Rock book - "What are those chords?"

When you're me and look at the Math Rock book - "Ahh, I remember my first abacus."
When I took trip in high school, we weren’t allowed to use a scientific Calculator. However, our teacher would let us use a slide rule. I learned how to use one of them for that semester.

Some exciting stuff in the pipeline this year...

I've had an idea for a Sun Ra book percolating for a bit, but it wouldn't work as a 33 1/3. I've never been able to pick an album or an angle to try and pitch to them... The Magic City ain't a bad idea!
Have you seen their other books? I gotta tell you you can put whatever you want on the cover and then do what ever the fuck you want on the inside.

it could be a short story about your left shoe’s third marriage, and how it disintegrated and your shoe became a Buddhist monk. These motherfuckers will 100% publish it. More than one of their books is, in theory, about one specific album, but then you read the book and the one specific album is like maybe a quarter of the book and the rest of it is like a history of the group a discography an analysis of the culture rounded and the history in the country it’s just… I think you should do it. I think you should say it’s gonna be about heliocentric worlds and then just keep doing it about whatever you want.

Fair enough. I've got another idea percolating at the moment (non-Sun Ra) but I may have to revisit the Ra concept too
