Yeah, it’s one of my favorites from Lee’s later years. I’ve missed out on two copies that were sitting in my discogs cart. I’m going for the kill on this eBay one.Just going to add that its a superb session! I picked up a copy a few months back and its just killer! Recorded the same year as 'The Sixth Sense' from memory.
What do you people think about the Analogue Productions reissues of? Most of the big classics are there at $50, available through Acoustic Sounds or being repressed.
Ummm, will all eBay users here step back on the original Lee Morgan - Sonic Boom sitting at $20 with 6 days left, please?
I have both Workout and Dippin' by Hank Mobley on AP45. Both sound every bit as good as a MM45 imo. Only thing I miss are those beautiful session photo's you get with MM. Then again, QRP does press some fantastic records, maybe even slightly better than RTI.
Im hoping its Taru......because I dont have that one yetI have absolutely no proof, but I feel like Sonic Boom will be reissued by the Tone Poet series somewhere in the next few years. Just seems like the perfect session for this series.
That’s fine, I’d buy it again. Because it’d have better artwork.I have absolutely no proof, but I feel like Sonic Boom will be reissued by the Tone Poet series somewhere in the next few years. Just seems like the perfect session for this series.
Just got an email: All Tone Poets and BN 80s 30% off at the Blue Note store (making them $17.49 and $24.48) with free shipping over $50!

Blue Note is having 30% off their online store with free shipping over $50 for the holidays. Includes TP and BN80 so it seems TPs work out to $25 each.
I hope it's NOT Taru, because I have the original pressing but would definitely buy a Tone Poet as well! Sonic Boom and/or Procrastinator would be great picks!Im hoping its Taru......because I dont have that one yet
Damn, I almost wish I hadn't pre-ordered all these as they came out...Blue Note is having 30% off their online store with free shipping over $50 for the holidays. Includes TP and BN80 so it seems TPs work out to $25 each.

I have both of those! They are great to be fair. How about mixing it up with 'Hank Mobley With Donald Byrd And Lee Morgan' (I want that one )I hope it's NOT Taru, because I have the original pressing but would definitely buy a Tone Poet as well! I haven't really paid much more than this sale price on most of the TPs luckily. I don't think I have ever spent more than $28-30 for any of them. The Target deal was still one of the best ones...buy 2 get 1 free.Damn, I almost wish I hadn't pre-ordered all these as they came out...

Honestly, I haven't kept track of how much I paid. I just always pre-order on amazon as soon as they are put up. My favorite TP’s in 2019. You will not be disappointed.Picked up Born to Be Blue, Minor Move, Cornbread, and Etcetera for under $100 pending tax. Not bad. Now to cut myself off from buying records for a while.
I also really love the Chick Corea record but not positive when it was released. Chick plus those 4 are my favorites as well.My favorite TP’s in 2019. You will not be disappointed.
