So what happens first the pandemic is over or I get my order from the sale that happened just as the pandemic hit?

Who did you order from? If it was UDiscover or BN they hold everything up until it’s in stock. So what happens first the pandemic is over or I get my order from the sale that happened just as the pandemic hit?
I'm more concerned that two set of delays now have about 18-20 records arriving next week. One set from discogs (that hopefully has some great early presses) and then another partial shipment from Light in the Attic when I went a little crazy during their sale (that has ~9 from speakers corner)... that amount of spousal visibility creates a notable "..." Haha I'm in a similar boat. Going away for a week with my fiancée starting saturday AM. We were supposed to get married next weekend but we had to postpone until next year with everything going on, so it will be a much needed vacation. But at the same time, my informed delivery tells me that I have about 12 albums arriving in the next week (6 were preorders from VMP and others were various preorders or things I recently ordered). We're both working from home and I already get the side eye when a square shaped package shows up...not sure what the reaction will be when we get home from a nice vacation and there are 12+ packages waiting for me downstairs hahaI'm more concerned that two set of delays now have about 18-20 records arriving next week. The other day she asked me "how many more records do you think you are going to buy?"
Me: ...
Me: thinking.... They are still going to make records, aren't they? Then, I'm, well....

I'm sure it will be fine once you've explained that you're using the wedding money...Haha I'm in a similar boat. Going away for a week with my fiancée starting saturday AM. And it's not like VMP's shipping practices will help you at all in that regard. Besides being expensive and harmful to the environment, their inability to package records together is putting unnecessary strains on hundreds--maybe thousands--of relationships.Haha I'm in a similar boat. Yep. The VMP all have separate tracking numbers but were mailed out on the same day, so I know I will come home to at least 6 separate boxes. And it's not like VMP's shipping practices will help you at all in that regard. Ooh what'd ya get? I've been listening to the Bill Withers Just As I Am -SC pressing and it's so good. Wish I had bought some of their pressings sooner. A bunch are OOP now.Got my big LITA order with a bunch of Speaker's Corner records in it today.... came in a biggish box, so my wife had no clue it had records inside. I feel like I got away with one... lol

I love that Sheriff album art. There's a pressing of Saxophone Colossus that has alternate cover art with a similar vibe that I really wanted to get but it's pretty pricey...Just realized they're all Pure Pleasure-- I keep mixing the two up.

Didn't have much MJQ before this, but Lonely Woman's good so far. Haven't unwrapped the rest just yet. Then that Jazz Messengers double LP is freaking awesome, highly recommend it. I gotta give it another listen tomorrow!

Wow, very cool. The art work on some of those earliest jackets is fantastic.Apologies if this has been posted before but if you want a nice time killer, you can go through the entire Blue Note timeline on their site.

I really like Point of Departure and his playing on a lot of other albums. Passing Ships is one of those sessions that has only been on CD as far as I know. There are so many good unreleased sessions from BN. Glad they are finally getting a solid reissue. I do wish they were pressing some other albums that I’m missing or can’t find good reissues of for cheap!Excited by another Dexter Tone Poet release. I have picked up both recent Andrew Hill recent re-issues. I need to spend more time with them but neither really clicked with me. Interesting they are doing another release that was shelved for many years. I think Passing Ships was first released around 2003 though recorded in 1969.
