If anyone in Europe is still looking for the Chet Baker Tone Poet, I just ordered mine through dodax for a reasonable price. It's been way overpriced in recent months, so happy I finally found an ok deal.
There's a similar pre-order for The Real McCoy that has a December release but I couldn't figure anything out about it.Anyone have any idea what this is? It shows a December release date. I thought maybe it was a repress of the BN75 but the UPC isn't showing up anywhere.

Too bad they don't ship to the US, the Cogs prices are a bit out of hand.If anyone in Europe is still looking for the Chet Baker Tone Poet, I just ordered mine through dodax for a reasonable price. It's been way overpriced in recent months, so happy I finally found an ok deal.
Surely they are repressing this right? It might take a couple months, but I imagine it will come back into print. On a side note, if anyone happens to trip over or see a copy of Chet Baker Sings - Tone Poet, can you give me a shout out please
PS. At a reasonable price.
I would hope so.Surely they are repressing this right? It might take a couple months, but I imagine it will come back into print.
Hard to say. BN has not made any indication that the Tone Poets are limited editions. But at the same time the pricing of the older Tone Poet presses (Cassandra Wilson, Wayne Shorter etc) seem to indicate that the supply is dwindling.Surely they are repressing this right? It might take a couple months, but I imagine it will come back into print.
From what I've understood it will be repressed, but all the pressing plants are just backed up due to covid.Surely they are repressing this right? It might take a couple months, but I imagine it will come back into print.

Add McCoy Tyner's Expansions to the list of future Tone Poets.

I did a double-take thinking it said Extensions at first! I'm lucky to have a copy of Extensions already, but have been looking for Expansions for a while so will certainly pick this one up.I would have prefered Extensions, but I'll gladly take a quality reissue of Expansions.
Same! But Joe replied to someone suggesting Extensions as a Tone Poet saying "most def" so I guess I will at some point be buying a second copy.I did a double-take thinking it said Extensions at first! Same here. Extensions is amazing - the only appearance of Alice Coltrane on BN!I would have prefered Extensions, but I'll gladly take a quality reissue of Expansions.
You dont like the artwork? I always took it for a hommage to National Geographic (but I could be wrong).Same here. Extensions is amazing - the only appearance of Alice Coltrane on BN!
The cover though...
Did we know this was the Shorter album that was coming before this? I'm psyched!
