This is absolutely incredible. I've had so many of these on a wishlist for expensive MM or RVG releases or Japanese Pressses.

I was won over by BN80 and if they're doing the same thing and releasing these in that price range it's going to be amazing.

Wow, those titles are all amazing in the Classic series! I wish they got the Tone Poet treatment (RTI, more fancy jackets) instead but I am very happy overall with this announcement!

I’ll be buying every single one of those titles! They are all spectacular albums! I’m just going to try and buy the titles on Amazon AU, so I can have them replaced if they are badly warped or anything!

Super happy though! I’m looking really forward to this series!

I can’t believe Art Blakey’s Moanin, Wayne Shorter’s Speak No Evil, Herbie Hancock’s Maiden Voyage and Cannonball Adderley’s Somethin’ Else are all included in this series! Absolute classics! 💎

I’m looking very forward to this Classic series! 😍

Yeah, The Real McCoy is starting on the US Amazon site for $24.99 preorder already, same as the BN80s before discount.
Some of the BN80s had poly-lined sleeves at least, hopefully they go the message that no one wants those super tight paper-only sleeves.

Yeah, I noticed that too that some of the BlueNote80’s were had poly-lined sleeves! But most of them unfortunately had the paper-only sleeve, which were extremely tight!

I’m so excited for this series! I’m going to really cut down on my vinyl spending because I’m getting all the Tone Poet series titles no matter what and will be buying all the titles on this Classic series! 😍
 
I wonder if Cannonball Adderley’s Somethin’ Else will still be getting the MoFi One-Step Supervinyl 2LP 45RPM treatment? If so, I hope it gets announced before the release of the Blue Note Classic Series title!

Amen. Gatefolds are damn pretty for sure, but I seriously overestimated how much I'd be able to hold in my 4x4 because of them.

That's the rumor. I think it was confirmed over at the Hoffman boards, but I know some that were available to preorder aren't gonna happen (like Boston and ELO)

I know - it’s been in my wantlist forever, and I somehow missed the memo when it was reissued last year. Really excited to hear how it sounds. It’s actually supposed to be delivered this weekend so hopefully I can spin it soon!
