Grant Green's I Want to Hold Your Hand is a truly puzzling choice to me. Maybe I need to relisten to that one.The 2023 Tone Poet list is out!

I’ve heard great things about that ScoToPo but was a bit too pricey for me to buy normal price since I’m not too familiar with the album. Bummer you got the dud InterpolMy local scratch and dent shop had mint ScoLoHoFo Tone Poets still sealed for $19.99. 3 copies. Also the recent Hutercherson TP for $31.99. Beck Sea Change for $15.99 and a bunch of other good titles. I only bought a sealed Interpol record and lucky me, it has a scratch down all of side B.
I'm tempted to go back and grab a copy. I like Scofield, and was listening to A Go Go earlier today, but unfamiliar with that TP album. It is from 2002 and AAA, I believe.I’ve heard great things about that ScoToPo but was a bit too pricey for me to buy normal price since I’m not too familiar with the album. It’s a good record! But same boat. $50 is too pricey for me on that title. Hopefully on Discogs or Deep Discount in 6 months!I’ve heard great things about that ScoToPo but was a bit too pricey for me to buy normal price since I’m not too familiar with the album. Bummer you got the dud Interpol

I actually already own it. I've listened to it twice. Are you sure the third time isn't the charm??You really don't.
Be careful with the third run, it has the potential to become a nasty earworm.I actually already own it. I've listened to it twice. Are you sure the third time isn't the charm??
I'm starting to doubt my own memory and believe there's NO WAY it is as bad as I remember.
I posted on Now Spinning a few days ago...that album sounds awesome.Drums sound absolutely killer on the Herbie Empyrean Isles BN Classic reissue.
As does Freddie Hubbard.
Am I being a complete ass if I say covering your fingernail in acid and running it through the grooves should fix that right up for you? Maybe give the headphones a run through your ultrasonic cleaner as well.I just wish they used RTI for both Tone Poets and Classics. I find the Optimal pressings for Classics can be a bit sibilant when the horns are hot, at least when listening on headphones.
Yeah, experienced QC issues with Optimal frequently. Had to have Herbie replaced due to a minor scratch. Second copy is bowled, but,DNAP.I just wish they used RTI for both Tone Poets and Classics.
