So I was thinking about buying the TP Et Cetera off the bulenote sight. Is this the best place to get it?

Damn the price has really jumped up on it! I bought it from Amazon for $25 and prime shipping. I’d maybe set up an alert from camelcamelcamel but if you want it now, it seems to be $35 at a lot of places...

WOW.

Hmmmm I would have gone for the Hank Mobley or Blakey (Night in Tunisia). I have been after a decent copy of the Wayne Shorter - Adams Apple for a while as well. Fantastic stack there!

I gave the Lee Morgan - Cornbread Tone Poet another listen tonight. Such an amazing release, it sounds amazing. Everything about it seems top quality, and its at an affordable price. I have been super impressed with this series.

I went with Blakey's Tunisa (because I haven't heard it before), then Joe Henderson Inner Urge because I didn't have it, then Grant Green's SOLID because... Grant Green. Now on Art Blakey FREE FOR ALL because I only have the BN75 (soon up for sale).

I started with Adam’s Apple and then put on Afro-Cuban.

Id start with Adam’s Apple, and no, no I don’t have a Shorter addiction . Then I’d go either Afro-Cuban, Free For All, or Song For My Father.

Adam’s Apple SRX sounds so damn good.

I love Afro Cuban, it's one of my all time favourites from Blue Note. I think I would do Blues Walk from Lou as a first spin though.

Never seen these! Here’s just about all I can find about them from LJC:

In my limited experience the British pressings are a poor relation of the American. The US pressings will have been mastered from original Van Gelder tapes (Van Gelder recorded, mastered by UA engineers), whilst the Jazz File UK equivalents will be locally re-mastered from second generation copy tapes, which is not the best start in life.
