The Darlington Labs thread (New 2024 models!)

Would have been able to direct you but didn't see your message until after the fact.

Enjoy the magic.
How is the LOMC in the DL preamps? I have an MP7B and am thinking of picking up a Hana S, but not sure whether to go with the H or the L.

Currently using a MasterTracker on my UltraDeck.

My MP8B came in, got it hooked up and have spun a few titles. All I have to say is HOLY SHIT. I thought there would be some improvement but this is head and shoulders above what I expected. Thought there may have been some overselling in this thread, but if anything it was undersold. So nice to be able to flip a switch for Mono LPs instead of trying to do the two Y chord hack. Very, very pleased with my purchase and can't wait to keep using it

That’s awesome. Mine should be on its way any day now. I can’t wait!

I recently upgraded my MM6 --> MP7B and was pleasantly surprised at the improvement. I especially love the ability to tweak LF EQ and LF EQ via jumpers. If I'm being honest, I'm unsure what the difference between MP7B and MP8B is. I can't tell if the 8 adds new features, but it does appear that the components used are the highest quality possible.

At this point, with the MP7B, my phono stage is one of the strongest components in my rack. I'm going to focus funds on replacing my workhorse Yamaha A-S501 amp.

My first phono pre upgrade (Project Phono Box S2) was when I had an as301. I was blown away by the improvements it made to my Project DC EVO.

On the difference between the MP7B and MP8B, my understanding is the power supply is the biggest delta.
