The football thread RenegadeMonster is looking for: NFL talk

It was a great year.

10 straight wins to break the longest winning streak in franchise history before tonight. Burrow accumulating half of the franchise's playoff wins after the win @ BUF. Even though the TOs hurt to see, he continues to show me that he is him.

But I'm prepared for the clowning that will happen all offseason now. I had an uneasy feeling after the last few days. The players who claimed they were playing at "Burrowhead Stadium" deserve it.

I feel like this HAD to be the year, if they were going to do it. I don't want to lose coach Lou, but he deserves a head coaching gig. It's absurdly difficult to make the AFC title game three times in a row. The core is still strong, but the OL continues to be the weak link and Burrow still made some gutsy plays.

Time to regroup, and keep working at it.

EDIT: Yup, just heard Travis Kelce return the trash talk. I'm ready for more.

Things will get tougher from a roster building standpoint, but the adjustments Burrow made about a third of the way through the year made me think he can be the guy who can compete with any team year in year out.

The Big Lou stuff is very interesting to me. Are all those draft hits because of the front office or from coaching? I don't think anyone puts their players in a better position to succeed at their strengths than Lou.

Great game and great season. I haven’t heard Lou as a front runner for any of the HC openings, so you may have him another year. That defense always impresses me, he definitely gets the most out of the guys on that defense.

I loved hearing our guys return the shit talk after the game. Love having these rivalries with you guys and the Bills.

Chiefs have 2 weeks to get healthy, they were dropping like flies all game. Philly is gonna be tough. They’re stacked at almost every position.

Best of luck to both to PHI and KC in two weeks, @sahomerrocks and @debar22.

Yes. I'm wondering how much Ja'Marr and Tee will command, they are also fully deserving.

Drafting has been excellent the last three years, so I would lean towards the front office receiving more props. As you said before, you were out on Zac. But no doubt that Lou Anarumo deserves his flowers.
Super Bowl LVII: The Battle of The Kelce Bros.
I was thinking the Reid bowl.

And they earned it.

One last thing. I'm almost considering muting a CIN game entirely against KC or BUF with Tony Romo announcing in the future. I just can't listen to that extent of biased commentary much longer.

Olsen is the best color commentator out there.
I totally agree. I've been noticing all year how great he is. Romo and Collinsworth are like cartoon characters half the time.

I heard Brady already has a huge deal in place with Fox as an analyst when he retires. Will Fox be so ridiculous as to give the top spot to Brady over Olsen because he's Brady?

I warmed up to Zac after the offense stopped telegraphing their run/pass plays so blatantly. Still not my favorite coach in the league but it's hard to argue with results and the player performances.
