The Good Ol' Grateful Thread

I need some help from folks more knowledgeable about the Dead than I. My new brother-in-law is a major Dead fan--He wore a Grateful Dead t-shirt to his own wedding--and I can't have him over for some drinks and music without some Dead albums on hand. It'd be a disaster. Can you all recommend some good pressings/albums to picik up? So far, I only have the new Rhino Hi-Fi release of American Beauty on my list. His favourite album is Terrapin Station.

I appreciate any help you can provide. 🍻
Right now you can grab Reckoning, Mars Hotel & Wake of the Flood for $20 each on Barnes & Noble. Mars Hotel is a Bellman cut and sounds fantastic. The Reckoning sounds brilliant as well. Haven’t heard this press of Wake of the Flood but it’s the 50th Anniversary press and the reviews on Discogs are great. Nice start for impressing the BiL 👍

I'm not a contributor to his thread - but I thought I should post this here as it may be of some interest to you.

My very good friend did an Oral History of the 90s jam band scene.
He did interviews with a ton of bands and people behind the scenes to compile the oral history.

If you are looking for a good summer read - Publisher's Weekly says you should check this out.
I do too.

25% Off Pre-Orders Now at Barnes & Noble too .
I heard through the grapevine there may eventually be some vinyl tie-ins tied to pre-orders as well.
