yes... in hindsight, the distinction i made in that post is a bit nonsensical. i guess i was thinking that there are some albums that i have an attachment to, but that i know are more flawed than others on the list, so i was trying to think of how that would lead to them being placed.

the more i type about my rationale, the less sense it makes even to me, and i'm now thinking perhaps the best approach is just to make a list off the top of my head without thinking too much and go from there.

there's also the fact this is an entirely masochistic task we're all subjecting ourselves to 😭

Compiling 50 albums was relatively easy but I've been working on ranking for several weeks now. Every time I listen to Bjork's Debut I go into it thinking it's going to drop several positions... but then by the time I get to the second half of the album I'm bawling my eyes out and moving it up a few spots. "Come to Me" destroys me.

Debut ranked fairly high on mine. 👀

This keeps happening to me, too. "Okay, today I'll listen to #40-45 and see where they stack up to each other." But then whichever one I'm listening to at that moment goes to #40. It's futile.
