The National - Cherry Tree Club

If they're doing shows, the membership is worth it. I got 5th row at Red Rocks and limited balcony seats for a show in Atlanta through the membership. It's not been as great without the shows but the Cherry Tree limited edition vinyl packages and other vinyl offerings are pretty nice.

Yup, I assume the vinyl will always be at least $50 on discogs, which it has been for the most part, and if/when I get a ticket like that it makes it all worth it. Now if they can schedule some shows I can go to.

The value of the package is probably worth more than $50 with a 2xLP + art print + stickers + other goodies. But if I wasn't a huge, massive fan of the band, waiting to get our "2020 package" halfway through 2021 would be pretty annoying. I don't know if the band can blame the pandemic because the Vol. 2 box was also delayed for most of 2019 and we only got them in April 2020. We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes with pressing plants or any other delays. Paying up front and then still not having the product is very frustrating.

I am STILL waiting for my Pearl Jam holiday singles from 2017 & 2018! 7" singles! They finally started shipping them out a few months ago but none have made it to the east coast yet. It's beyond frustrating, especially since they keep releasing other merch / vinyl vaults to order.
A friend of ours in TenClub who lives in California decided he doesn't want or need the 2017/2018 singles and sent his to us.... at least 6 weeks ago, yet 10c members in the east haven't received anything. I finally received my vault last week which I think we paid for at least a year ago. Pandemic blame is a crock.

Yep, at some point someone has to take responsibility. It is called planning, some bands should try it.

This is my first "year" and I don't know if I can say there is anything to cheer about being a member as of yet. Outside of the "value" these yearly offerings tend to have, I don't know how long I'll stick around.
As I’ve previously mentioned, thanks to the Cherry Tree sub, I got 4th row tickets right behind Topher Grace at the Greek Theater in LA. I’ve heard that other club members got the option for Mika Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Wilmer Valderrama. I would recommend staying subbed for this half-true fact alone.

Most of us don't live in LA for that to happen. I did see Allison Russell and Jamie Wyatt at Amethyst Kiah show the other day though.

Pre-CT days, I saw John Krasinski, Emily Blunt & Will Arnett together at a National show at the Beacon Theatre. I know Taylor Swift was backstage at one of the Brooklyn Prospect Park shows a couple years (GA entry was a nightmare that night) I'm sure that I've seen other celebs at National shows - this heat is turning my memory to mush.

Usually see at least one celeb at a NYC show - we sat behind Matt Damon & Michael Moore at a Pearl Jam show at MSG once. I was standing next to Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend in the pit at an Arctic Monkeys show at MSG. Stood next to Michael Stipe in the pit (also at MSG) at a U2 show.

No offense, but this board is where I come to escape the endless grousing about Ten Club holiday singles, shipping times, ticket lottery outcomes, and all the rest. Not that you’re wrong about any of it - though I do think it’s a little funny that I’ve seen people over there doing the whole “I hate this club and don’t know why I pay for it”/“Well go ahead and quit then” routine over the holiday single shipping order when the damn things are literally years late (and also suck IMO, though I don’t have my physical copies yet either).

I got an email saying it started to ship but have no informed delivery and no tracking info yet. Don’t see myself getting it before the weekend but was hoping to get it soon!

This show is f'ing great. On side A and already loving it. This was a show I lamented not being able to attend because I'll be completely honest, I love deeper cuts of albums that bands do at shows. I love all the hits and when they're supporting an album but I also love when a song or group of songs gets pulled out that they don't do as often.
