That’s strange. I swear it’s been done for a long time now. I think it was being mixed months ago... anyway, every day I think a preorder will be up and it never is. I check his website every damn day. I’m not even sure a vinyl pressing will be out on time at this point. But maybe...
 
Has anybody ordered from vinylmnky before? I'm assuming we will be getting a cherrytree variant so might hold off for that. This vinylmnky seems to be the indie slusie.
 
Definitely waiting to see what else pops up... for 6 songs tho... also interesting that Walking on a String isn’t on there

I’ve ordered from them once or twice. Also hoping for a CT variant.I’m a bit of a completist when it comes to the National ;)

Definitely NOT ordering from Vinylmnky and waiting for another website, hopefully Cherry Tree or 4AD to carry it.
 
Wait what. How is it only 6 songs? I feel like maybe that’s just the first side? Anyway it’s sold out now so it doesn’t matter but this means there should be something up on his site or Cherry Tree today

I don’t think it’s only 6 songs. that’s got to be vinylmnky wanting to be the first one to offer it and running with whatever info they have available. The fact that no one else is selling it anywhere and Matt didn’t officially announce it being for sale seems very sketchy.

I agree. It’s probably only the tracklist for side a. It‘s listed as indie exclusive not ‘vinylmnky’ exclusive, so I bet this blue will be available through other sellers / stores. I saw that vinlymnky tweeted about it last night and tagged Matt, so I’m sure it’s legit.

Isn’t vnylmnky that one person who got some heat for positing some of his stuff on the Pre Order thread? But seems kind of sketchy they didn’t follow release protocol.

Yea they came here and just started posting their own links in the preorder thread for overpriced versions of all kinds of albums. They didn’t participate in any other capacity and got called out about it and I think they haven’t really been back since...

And now that they’ve jumped the gun on this release makes me never want to purchase from them. Completely ignore artist and label for release date.

Welcome!

In the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal but members try to look after each other here, tag each other in releases they might want and so on. There are a few businesses here that post regularly but participate beyond that and are very up front about who they are and what they are selling and that is awesome. A lot of us are very happy to support those companies. But when someone comes in and just spams the online deals and preorder thread with their own links to try to make a quick buck, it ruins the spirit of the forum.
