Oh, this fuckin' guy....

This fuckin' guy is pretty great. This one is most likely a 4/5 for me, but I'll give it another listen tomorrow.

Same as @avecigrec likely a 4. Probably a rounded up 3.5. The title track is, of course, great and it has some quality highlights but it’s one of the least well balanced whole albums of “imperial phase” Bowie.

5/5 for side a and 3.5/5 for side b. For me this is a good solid 4/5 overall.

As @Joe Mac said, it is a bit unbalanced compared even to Low which has stark contrasts between A and B.

I don't really rate Bowie.

There, I said it!

Sounding very dated to me already.

I can't stand his voice, hate his accent.

It wasn't bad, the songs aren't bad, it's a good record, but I just can't stand his voice.

Yikes.

Besides the typical radio hits, David Bowie is actually a pretty big blind spot for me. I think Low and Ziggy Stardust might be the only albums I've listened to in full.

I kinda feel it more unbalanced quality wise as much as stylistically. With Low I don’t find that. It has two distinct sides that are different, but work in themselves and quality wise it’s just high right across the board.

Anyway, I find it funny that I rated the Eno album so low early on, but really dig the Eno / Bowie Trilogy. 4/5 for Heroes, Joe The Lion, Blackout, V2 Schneider.

Definitely their attempt at creating a European Cannon. For me this is another solid 4/5

I haven't listened to any of the albums in this thread since going back to work a week ago but I'll try to play this today. I'm not all that familiar with Kraftwerk, and I've never listened to this album before.

The 22 minutes of “Autobahn” rad! I love this whole album but could see how it’s not everyone’s cut of tea. I have an OG German pressing of this one.

Yeah similar. I appreciate why other people think it is good. I respect its influence. It does very little for me personally.
