Absolutely. Especially atmospherically. They probably manifest more in the first album than this one. Also hot take, Sigur Ros have some proper boring whale song tenancies.

You could play me an Oasis b-side instrumental and say it is Avalanches and I wouldn't know any different. I have no fucking clue about them. Same as the Doves until a few hours ago.

But Sigur is better than Doves...
