Honestly same. I really love Prince’s singles but never felt the need to listen to a whole album. “Purple Rain”, “Sigm O The Times” and This have always been on my list of records to check out but I never took the dive. I will say that out of his singles “1999” is easily my favorite and is one of my favorite songs of the 80’s in general.

Even if ya think (and rightfully so) that old man Morrissey is a twat. Johnny Marr jangling guitar tones are enough to make this a worthwhile listening experience.

My favourite smiths album. They’re hit a point in their career where they were afforded more resources and so Johnny Marr was able to explore their sound in a fuller and more realised way. This record just sounds beautiful. And then it was over. 4 years, 4 albums, 3 compilations and a struggle to find a bad song. One of the most flawless recording careers. 5/5.

For me they hit their peak with QiD but still a great album. 5 for Marr, 1 for Morrissey. Overall 4/5
