Like was there a class action suit because audiophiles were like I was lied to, no one told me this was live?
Kick Out The Jams by MC5 sounds like it should be one of them 80’s electro hip hop things like Pump Up The Volume.
By some weird coincidence or some kind of unknown binding in cosmos, the Bad Brains cover of "Kick out the jams" actually features in a climactic scene in the high school movie "Pump Up the Volume" with Christian Slater. Don't ask me how I know this.
Or what the hell....the film is awesome and so is the soundtrack. How do you know this?

The book loves some 90s BritPop which is the only thing that truly seems a little whacky compared to other lists. This book loves them some 70's (though I guess this is technically 60's) live albums don't they?
I love me some 90's Brit Pop. Rough sounding live albums are just OK.The book loves some 90s BritPop which is the only thing that truly seems a little whacky compared to other lists.

Grunge is meaningless, how can it be trash?Honestly I feel it’s kind of refreshing. The pro American bias on here, particularly with trash like grunge and hair metal, is really stark and stifling.
The American-centric focus of this book is infuriating.Honestly I feel it’s kind of refreshing. The pro American bias on here, particularly with trash like grunge and hair metal, is really stark and stifling.

That said, MC5 rages full on!!
Calm down I think the UK music scene is hardly marginalized here or anywhere else.Honestly I feel it’s kind of refreshing. The pro American bias on here, particularly with trash like grunge and hair metal, is really stark and stifling.

Yeah, I doubt we would have seen Doves, Blur and Muse if there wasn't some British representation.I think it does have a British contributing author/editor because it is at least represented.
I don’t know. I think in current music, unless an act has reached a certain stature they are unknown or little talked of here. Certainly lots of bands have reached a kind of legacy status. But even broader than the UK, nonwestern music, hell nonEuropean music is generally under represented.Calm down I think the UK music scene is hardly marginalized here or anywhere else.
