AIC is a great grunge band. My biggest qualm is their fans have a bit of an inferiority complex. Of the big 4 they had the least mainstream success. So their biggest fans always have to go out of their way to say they were the greatest and way better than Nirvana or Pearl Jam or Soundgarden.

This is probably my favorite AIC album.

I bought this on vinyl recently but haven't played it yet...

But yeah, he's even on the most recent Avalanches album but I don't think people knew it was him because of the name change

Just when I thought we were gonna head in a better direction, I am let down.

Just fine. Watered down soul/sophistipop, with passable production. Compare that to his contemporaries from that year alone (Prince, MJ, Alexander O'Neal, George Michael) and it sounds like he's a step below. Don't think it should be on this list.

I love this Cypress album.

I like that it is not super problematic today like say NWA is. I like that they brought the bomb squad noise sound to a more accessible groove.
