Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet

Man I love this album and Bon Jovi in general. All killer no filler just fun Glam Rock. Also fun to reminisce because he was the first concert I ever saw so I remember hearing these songs live as my first concert which makes them even more special to me.

This pick is also perfect timing because “Livin’ On a Prayer” is my boyfriend and I’s song so it feels really special getting this on valentine day 💕

On some days this is my favorite Bowie album.
A great album within a series of great albums he put out in his cocaine fueled run.

All within 3 years - recorded Diamond Dogs, went on his largest tour to date, recorded this album while on tour, filmed The Man Who Fell to Earth, recorded StationToSation, went on another world tour, produced Iggy’s The Idiot, and recorded Low.

This is not a commentary of today's choice. But this was a delightful interview with James Dean Bradfield. It's obviously more guitar/gear centered but there's a lot of talk about the band's influences etc. I haven't heard many interviews with him so I was very surprised that that's the guy with that powerful singing voice.

I mean I became aware of him when I started hanging out with the yahoos around here. He’s like some big deal crooner/avant-garde guy. Evidently a big influence on people who make music.
His baroque pop music stylings can be an acquired taste for sure. I enjoy it but rarely listen to these albums any more. Highly recommend his harder stuff from later in his career, like Tilt
